We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team in New Mexico for the 2024/2025 school year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work remotely on a 1099 contract basis. The role involves providing exceptional instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring alignment with state standards and student goals.
• Provide virtual instruction in core academic subjects, adapting teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Utilize a variety of online tools and resources to engage students and facilitate active participation in virtual lessons.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to support student learning and address individual needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional plans and interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and achievement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education in the state of New Mexico.
• Previous experience teaching students with disabilities, preferably in a virtual or remote setting.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Comfortable using technology and online learning platforms for instruction and communication.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time position for the 2024/2025 school year.
