Job Description
Job DescriptionOBJECTIVE: This position supports the Key Initiatives of Growing Revenue for existing and new customers. This position also has a key role in the movement of product amongst all sites within Fleenor Paper & Packaging. This requires friendly, helpful service and attention to detail.
Essential Functions
A. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with new and existing customers.
B. Expand our product line to generate new business
C. Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services and enhancements that may be of interest.
D. Communicate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
E. Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship issues.
F. Qualify opportunities, quote prices and follow up with customers and prospects
G. Collaborate, design and develop new products with customers to solve their needs
H. Work with administrative staff to set up new accounts
I. Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
J. Gain new accounts and increase sales into existing accounts
K. Meet revenue, margin, customer retention and new customer goals
L. Client Relationship Management, including regular communications, offering additional solutions, resolving issues
M. Input information into order entry system. Generate and maintain sales and other documents
N. Assist with paperwork and mailing sample products to customers.
O. Track special orders and coordinate customer pickups when product has arrived at warehouse.
P. Contribute to container transfers for FPP division
Q. Partner with the Warehouse Supervisor to schedule deliveries
R. Create bookings with third party freight carrier for shipments and trace movement until arrival at destination
S. Maintain thorough and accurate records, including but not limited to: Daily sign-offs, end-of-day batches, container transfer documents and vendor/customer correspondence
T. Contribute to sales order generation and company spreadsheet updating
U. Requires consistent, reliable attendance, in person at FPP, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day. Occasional overtime required.
V. Assist with Inventory maintenance and moving overstock or obsolete product throughout all sites within FPP division
Other Duties
A. Cross-train with other positions as requested. Fill in for other personnel, including Customer Service, as needed
B. Assist in special projects as requested
C. Work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization. Treat all employees with respect
D. At all times behave in a courteous and professional manner.
E. Arrange and coordinate deliveries or shipments, and if necessary resolve any associated issues
F. Help to create, maintain and distribute advertising and marketing plans for new product brochures and line cards.
G. Make process improvement suggestions, including implementation plans.
H. Able to lift 25 pounds
Reporting Relationship
I. Reports to the Inventory & Administrative Supervisor
J. Works closely with all FPP staff
K. Interacts with the Operations, Shipping & Receiving, Sales and Finance Departments
Minimum Qualifications
L Experience in customer service
M. Good phone skills, i.e., pleasant voice & professional demeanor
N. Data Entry experience
O. Experience using fax and copy machines
P. Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word software
Q. High school Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
A. Prior experience working in either paper or packaging goods businesses
B. Experience using Infor or other ERP, or a CRM
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Learn and apply industry trends
Physical Environment/Working Conditions
This position is in the Hawaii office.
