    Your Opportunity

    We are offering an immediate opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join Stantec's Geotechnical practice. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive geotechnical services to our clients, including analysis and design of various foundation elements, ground improvement design, and more. As a geotechnical professional, you will lead teams on projects of all sizes under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to the success of Federal Civil works, dam, levee, power, and other infrastructure projects.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct geotechnical analyses and develop engineering calculation packages.
    • Perform field work related to geotechnical explorations and construction activities.
    • Prepare designs, drawings, and specifications.
    • Lead and manage team members while working on projects.
    • Provide support services during construction and assist in developing new standards.
    • Participate in project proposals and client communication.
    • Check the work of others for accuracy and manage time effectively.

    Qualifications

    Your Capabilities and Credentials

    • Ability to collaborate in a project team setting and think creatively.
    • Understanding of local and regional soils and foundations.
    • Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil3D.
    • Strong time management and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
    • Professional engineer license and a minimum of 12 years of experience.
    • Experience with federal contracts.

    Flexible office and/or field arrangements are available depending on project needs. The office environment involves working with computers, while fieldwork may include exposure to various weather conditions.
