Description
The skilled Nurse, in the same or similar clinical environment, works independently and demonstrates an understanding of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides both routine and complex care, focusing on long-term goals or plans. Continues to enhance the ability to handle and control uncertainties in clinical nursing. Makes suitable assignments and delegates tasks to other healthcare providers to help manage the clinical scenario.
This role is specific to the NICU Department.
Experience: 1 year of experience in the relevant nursing specialty preferred. Perinatal RN Residency, or recent experience in a Perinatal Setting preferred.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Newly hired experienced RNs must complete New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire.
New hires are precepted by a designated staff member and complete on-boarding requirements through organizational and department-specific competency validations. Completion of annual competency verification required.
BLS required. RN License in state of employment or compact. Current STABLE certification needed at or before the end of orientation. Current NRP certification required within specified timelines.
