William Paterson University's Department of Music is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as a One-Year-Only Director of Choral Activities.

The successful candidate will provide artistic and musical leadership to both the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, Voxtet (vocal chamber music ensemble), and also teach conducting plus courses in our vocal and choral music education curriculum.

The position involves leading all aspects of the choral program, fostering a supportive environment for students, recruiting and retaining students, networking with nearby high school and community college teachers/programs, organizing off-campus tours and/or performances, co-adjudicating end-of-semester voice juries, and collaborating with the Vocal Area Coordinator and other music faculty.

Applicants with a master's degree (doctorate preferred) in Music or a related field, expertise in choral conducting, a record of scholarly activities in performance and/or research, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion are encouraged to apply.
