    Mission
    Effective capital project implementation is critical to Solugen's growth and success. This is a dynamic role in an emerging company on the precipice of exponential growth.

    The position requires agility of thought and application of skills and knowledge to balance velocity of project implementation against project risks.

    The Project Manager is responsible for leading, managing and actively participating in all facets of an EPC project – from early development to commissioning, turnover and project close-out.

    Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager will lead project teams to deliver capital projects on time and on budget.

    The workload composition will vary depending on the needs of the company and may be comprised of multiple small projects or a single major project, i.e., > $50-million TIC.

    Flexibility is required to provide fit-for-purpose project management, which may include "wearing several hats." On small to mid-size projects, this person typically performs as Project Manager/Project Engineer/Project Controls Professional.

    Additional responsibilities and expectations include (direct or indirect, depending on the nature of the project):
    Project Scope development.
    Project cost estimate development.
    Project Execution Plan development.
    Management of project procurement.
    Prepare, monitor, and progress project schedules.
    Monitor and control project cost.
    Project risk assessment and management.
    Project status reports.
    Manage and communicate project changes.
    Collaboration with Operations, Engineering and Business stakeholders.
    Assist with development of equipment and material bid specifications, bid evaluations and vendor selection.
    Maintain active role in the development of RFP's and contracts necessary for project execution.
    Establish 'safety first' culture throughout all efforts managed.
    Establish/define expectations with engineering and construction contractors.
    Ensure construction management and quality programs are implemented for each project.
    Participate in development of plans/procedures for mechanical start-up.
    Provide technical support.
    Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Industry Code and Guidelines.
    Participate in the development and implementation of project execution work processes and procedures.
    Record retention oversight.
    Project close-out oversight.
    Responsible for organizational structure of the project, including staffing requirements, staff management, deployment, and development of personnel.
    Maintain complete responsibility for project performance and delivery, including safety and financial performance, operational performance, and contractor relationships.
    Lead multidisciplinary projects and programs involving multiple parties.

    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred; Other disciplines may be considered for exceptional candidates).
    7-10+ Years Experience with Capital Projects, working w/ multi-discipline teams.
    Experience in manufacturing industries – petrochemical, refining, or similar industry
    Experience managing projects up to $50-million.
    Experience managing multiple small projects simultaneously within a capital program or turnaround.
    Ability to travel up to 20% of the time within the continental United States
    Flexibility to work occasional extended hours when required by project needs.
    Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoes & hearing protection) where required.
    Ability to conduct field walks at project sites and facilities.
    Ability to lift and carry up to (25) lbs.
    PMP Certification preferred.

    M.S. in Engineering and/or P.E. License.
