    Description

    Haulistic is seeking a Logistics Compliance & Claims Specialist to join our Operations team. This individual will work to ensure the company's interests are protected by ensuring carriers are compliant with company standards as well as when entering into customer agreements. The Compliance & Claims Specialist is responsible for the contract management process, including advising on solutions to enhance existing agreements such as non-disclosure agreements and vendor agreements.

    Background & Education

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Deep knowledge of the Transportation, 3PL Industry required
    • Strong knowledge of transportation compliance procedures required
    • Solid understanding of contract administration/management
    • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations
    • Experience with automated transportation management system (i.e. scheduling, material tracking, customer profiles) preferred
    • Understanding of contractual agreement types, contract verbiage, and the underlying risks and obligations
    • Experience working with organizations to negotiate, draft, and finalize agreements preferred

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the compliance and cargo, LTL, claims processes ensuring that company standards are met.
    • Accountable for license determination and maintenance.
    • Train and reinforce our compliance procedures to various departments.
    • Stay abreast of industry legislation changes that may impact our business and report to management such legislation with recommendations.
    • Assist in preparation, review, drafting and negotiation of contracts and agreements between company and its customers including vendor contracts, station agreements, non-disclosures, and master service agreements.
    • Follow company procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records.
    • Maintain all records and files associated with the position.
    • Actively engage with insurance brokers and underwriters on renewal negotiations and claims management.
    • Identify gaps in processes and build scalable solutions to support the organization.

    Skills

    • Ability to collect data, analyze facts, problem solve and draw accurate conclusions
    • Must be able to operate efficiently in a Windows environment and possess advanced keyboarding skills
    • Ability to interpret a variety of verbal and written instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables with limited standardization
    • Professional communication skills both written and verbal
    • Organizational and multi-tasking skills required
    • Ability to provide a high level of accuracy and have excellent attention to detail
