Description

• Lead complex construction projects from start to finish.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on construction methods and materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct inspections and tests as necessary to verify compliance with quality requirements.
• Identify potential risks and hazards on construction sites and implement measures to mitigate them, ensuring the safety of workers and the public.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project team members to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of construction activities.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience as a construction engineer in the relevant field of specialization, preferred.
• IDOT Document of Contract Quantities and/or any field inspection certifications, preferred.
• Great leadership, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations.
• Great mathematical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Ability to travel to various worksites.
