- Previous experience as an operations supervisor/superintendent or similar role

Job DescriptionBenefits:Objectives of this Role
Responsible for overseeing and managing all activities according to project blueprints and schedule plans
Organize and manage subcontractors and guardrail and traffic control crews, performing quality control and safety checks, and providing on-site direction while managing projects
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Manage and train a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation
Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs
Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline
Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
Create schedules for workers and/or subcontractors and supervise installation crews
Maintain a daily log for the job sites operations, reporting to management as necessary
Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction/project deadlines
Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
Provide administrative support (e.g., updating and managing inventory)
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory aspects
Monitor and report on department performance and coordinate equipment maintenance
Facilitate weekly operations meetings
Must be able to read plans, measure, submit material certifications and measurements to IDOT and NDOT personnel and contractors
Lift, carry, load and unload construction items
Operate and maintain durable traffic control and guardrail equipment
Coordinate and schedule all facets of guardrail installation
Set up and remove construction signs and traffic control items at job site
Operate and maintain equipment, both hand operated and motorized, designed to remove pavement markings from roadway surfaces
Skills and Qualifications
Proficient reading comprehension for technical documents, such as safety regulations, assembly and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to suggest solutions for deficiencies or problems
