- A minimum of 5 years of experience with real time embedded software engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience as demonstrated by candidate)
- Embedded firmware development skills are required
- Experience with C, C++
- Experience with real-time operating systems is required
- Experience with scripting tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Cygwin Make is highly desirable
- Familiarity with revision control (subversion, git) is highly desirable
- Experience with low-level device drivers is desirable
- Experience with STM32 microcontrollers, ST toolchain, TouchGFX, CAN, CANFD, SPI, UART, I2C, bluetooth, external memory(FRAM), FreeRTOS, baremetal development
- Experience with bootloaders is desirable
- Familiarity with automated testing in an embedded environment a plus
- Familiarity with FPGA development and HDL language a plus
- Design, and develop new software code
- Program in high-level languages as required
- Perform functionality and performance testing
- Work closely with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and other department engineers as required
