    We are seeking Physicians to join our client's facilities in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our focus is on recruiting top talents and enhancing career growth.

    Our direct client is actively looking for Physicians with various specialties to provide high-quality, cost-effective clinical care to patients within their scope of practice. The Physician will report directly to the Clinical Medical Director.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide clinical services to patients in accordance with the scope of practice and quality of care standards applicable to the Physician's training and specialty.
    • Perform history and physical examinations as necessary.
    • Order laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
    • Prepare patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
    • Perform CLIA-waved lab tests such as urine dip stick, Hgb, Hct, finger stick, glucose, hemoccults, and hCg.
    • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient health needs.
    • Perform selected invasive procedures for therapeutic and/or diagnostic reasons within the scope of validated competence.
    • Initiate and recommend medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatment and procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policy.
    • Comply with medical records policies regarding complete and accurate documentation of patient care.
    • Participate in quality improvement activities.
    • Counsel patients, families, and significant others about health and illness, promoting health maintenance.
    • Evaluate, plan, implement, and re-evaluate emergency care requirements.
    • Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, practices, requirements, and standards of the University of Utah and Community Clinics.
    • Comply with directives from the Medical Director relating to employment.
    • Comply with all applicable laws and canons of professional ethics.
    • Perform administrative duties, training programs, and other requirements necessary for the provision of clinical care.

    Professional Requirements

    • Hold a medical or osteopathic school degree and be board certified in the relevant specialty or obtain certification within 2 years of employment.
    • Hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Utah.
    • Maintain membership in good standing on the medical staff of hospitals as requested by the Medical Director.
    • Obtain and maintain a U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency number without suspension or revocation.
    • Meet qualifications for participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs or similar government-funded healthcare programs.
    • Maintain a practice of medicine consistent with recognized standards of medical care and perform all activities in accordance with those standards.

    Clinical Care

    This position requires a Physician based FTE (36 patient contact hours for full-time employment). Benefits are pro-rated for hours worked/full-time equivalent status.

    • Full-time: 40 hours (36 hours per week minimum patient contact time)
    • Part-time: Three-quarter time = 30 hours per week minimum
    • Other FTE statuses must be agreed upon and meet the needs of clinical practice.

    Work Environment

    Outpatient clinic setting housing lab, x-ray, pharmacy, etc.

    Call Coverage

    Physicians must take night, weekend, and holiday call as determined by the Medical Director according to the needs of the clinical practice location and/or specialty.

    Quality Improvement

    Every effort should be made to attend Health Center provider meetings and Community Clinics Tri-Annual meetings.
