The Construction Manager – Senior MEP Inspector will lead inspection efforts for various vertical/facility/building projects, the majority of which are aviation related.
They will inspect ongoing construction for adherence to project drawings and specifications with experience in building construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and fire protection.
They will ensure junior inspection staff's proper delivery of overall project execution and documentation related to quality assurance including, but not limited to: Contractor construction materials, quantities, personnel, site conditions, safety, etc.
The primary duty of the Construction Manager – Senior MEP Inspector is to serve as a key member/representative of the firm's growing construction services discipline.
You will be expected to:
Maintain supervision of site inspections for 1 to 3 vertical/MEP related projects and report to the Resident Engineer.
Review plans and specifications associated with assigned work on active construction contracts.
Oversee daily operations of contractor or subcontractor personnel to ensure that work is being performed in accordance with plans and specifications.
Identify contractor means and methods that are inconsistent with plans and specifications, and discuss needed changes with the contractor as well as the Resident Engineer
Make measurements and observations of work being performed to ensure accurate quantities are tracked for completed work.
Attend pre-installation meetings and identify potential issues with installation before they occur.
Prepare daily reports including labor, equipment, materials, safety, etc.
Photo document all project activities
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
10+ years' experience in construction management of vertical/facility/building construction and/or MEP.
Experience in aviation projects preferred, but not required
HS Diploma or GED
Bachelors degree in technical field or related field preferred, but not required.
Additional Industry Related Certifications preferred
Computer skills:
MS Office, eConstruction software
COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $98,537 to $142,279.
This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
