    Description

    This position will drive and lead our system implementations and continuous improvement projects for the Corporate Finance and Accounting Groups. This position should have a passion for driving continuous improvement, possessing enthusiasm for generating new ideas and challenging the status quo to drive positive business process and change. This position will also collaborate closely with IT and the entire system implementation teams to ensure the success of these projects.

    Role and Responsibilities

    Lead implementation efforts for system implementations as it relates to the Corporate Finance and Accounting Groups. This includes the following:

    • Assist in the selection of an ERP system as applicable
    • Obtain a working knowledge of the system being implemented (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets)
    • Work with each of the finance areas to identify and document business requirements, identify gaps in business requirements vs standard functionality and ongoing unresolved issues.
    • Configure setup and test functionality supporting the relevant lifecycle. This includes standard and custom interfaces to all peripheral applications.
    • Develop and maintain test scenarios
    • Manage and lead the end user training process including the design and creation of materials as well as leading the training
    • Develop End User procedures for new business processes. Includes documenting and validating with user community
    • Manage data conversion including cleansing efforts, validation, and uploading of data as applicable
    • Provides regular status updates to the Corporate Finance and Accounting Groups and FLT
    • Recommend business process and policy changes in support of operational improvements
    • Manage and continuously improve the design of automated controls in support of JSox compliance

    Lead the continuous improvement process in the Hussmann Corporate Finance and Accounting Groups. This includes the following:

    • Liaison between Finance, Accounting, and IT on system and automation strategies, requiring consistent communication to ensure alignment
    • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to review current processes and develop improved processes resulting in more efficiency and automation.
    • Lead the trainings and provide guidance to the finance department to be able to complete their own process improvement projects
    • Identify and complete necessary testing of the new business processes built.
    • Develop End User procedures for new business processes. Includes documenting and validating with user community
    • Provide regular updates to the Corporate Finance and Accounting Groups on key business process enhancements and initiatives
    • Responsible for managing and training direct report(s) to assist in the above areas of responsibilities.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance, Business or related area
    • Minimum seven (7) years of accumulated Finance, Accounting or other business related experience
    • Application experience in ERP systems (Oracle, Infor XA, Dynamics, Baan, SAP, etc), Blackline, consolidation systems preferred
    • Experience in Alteryx or other automation tools preferred
    • Ability to reverse engineer old processes using Macros, VBA, and Access preferred
    • Extensive knowledge and appreciation of the Financial Close Process (G/L, I/C, Shared Services, Consolidations, Reporting, etc.)
    • Strong technical aptitude for software configuration and data analysis and ability to create new process using modern automation
    • Proficient PC skills in Office products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook
    • Strong understanding of project management methodology
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to adjust presentation based on the audience
