    Systems AdministratorTipmont REMC has a unique opportunity for a Systems Administrator.

    Are you the one tasked to troubleshoot complex systems en route from test to production? Have you always marveled at the way analysis and automation can optimize operations?We seek someone to administer, develop, test, implement and maintain operating systems and related software for Tipmont - which delivers essential services of electricity and fiber internet across north Central Indiana.

    As Systems Administrator, you will run point on ensuring the effective, efficient delivery of systems across the organization - from backups and troubleshooting to system upgrades, hardware configuration, and strategic recommendations.

    (Responsibilities will differ from those of an Operating Systems Programmer in that this position will not alter operating systems' software codes.)

    Required Skills / Experience:


    Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Technology, or other related field preferred2+ years of relevant work experienceUnderstanding of virtual environments, including VMWare and HyperVUnderstanding of Windows Server Roles, including AD, DHCP, DNS, IIS, etc.

    Understanding of Cisco equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and phone systemsWillingness to learn new technologies and obtain certificationsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communicatorThrives in a team environmentPreferred Skills / Experience4+ years of relevant work experienceUnderstanding of FreeBSD systemsUnderstanding of Ubuntu and Linux systemsTipmont REMC is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
