    FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
    The Inbound/Outbound/Import Transportation Specialist ensures timely, cost-effective inbound/outbound /import freight delivery through efficient coordination, routing, and scheduling. This role demands proficiency in multiple logistics systems for delivery execution and monitoring.

    It involves active collaboration within the organization and with external partners to streamline operations, identify improvement opportunities, and solve challenges in a dynamic environment.

    A strategic mindset, adaptability, and strong communication skills are essential for continuous process enhancement and achieving operational goals.


    INTERACTION:
    Reports Transportation Manager Partnership and collaboration with Distribution Center, Supply Chain, Logistics Systems Transportation teams, Merchandising. Partnership and collaboration with Bealls logistics service providers and corporate vendors.

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (Essential Functions):

    Collaborate with carriers and consolidators/pool points to ensure timely pickups within defined process tolerances and assist in addressing performance issues.

    Proactively monitor the status of inbound/outbound / import deliveries to the Distribution Center (DC) or store. Promptly report any service issues related to inbound/outbound / import freight providing regular updates until resolution. Continuously evaluate and optimize routing to achieve the best outcomes while maximizing trailer cube utilization and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with all routing accuracy standards.

    Participate in the development and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the Transportation Management System, booking platform, or other Transportation systems, YMS, etc.

    Maintain daily communication with the Transportation team regarding operational activities. Perform additional duties as required.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.

    Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, etc).


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Associate degree or equivalent work experience, preferred. Minimum of two years experience in logistics and transportation, including ground, intermodal, and distribution sectors, preferred. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, flexibility, and capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
