    Surgical Notes is hiring for a multifaceted Senior Accountant to assist the Corporate Controller in all areas relating to accounting and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will aid in completing all accounting functions in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and communication skills, with the desire and ability to learn quickly. Working as a part of the team to meet deadlines, but also being able to work independently is crucial to the success in this position.     Reports to: Corporate Controller

    Responsibilities:

    • General accounting duties include various components of the month-end close processes and transactional accounting.
    • Accounts payable, receivables. and collections.
    • Daily cash activity analysis and posting, reconciliation, forecasting.
    • Calculate monthly sales commissions.
    • Journal entry preparation, accruals, reconciliations, and account reviews.
    • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP.
    • Drive continuous improvement focusing on streamlining, enhancing, and automating processes.
    • Participate in system implementations or migrations and automation projects.
    • Provide audit support for external audit, including substantive and controls-related work.
    • Payroll processing functions.
    • Other accounting duties and related projects as assigned.

    • Semi-Remote: The minimum bandwidth requirements are 10 Mbps upload and 50 Mbps download speeds. The recommended bandwidth requirements are 20 Mbps upload and 100 Mbps download speeds.
    Job Requirements:

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience, plus 5 years of accounting experience.
    • Prior experience with a large ERP (NetSuite preferred)
    • Extensive knowledge of GAAP
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, Lookup functions, etc.)
    • Critical thinking skills with ability to spot issues and bring to resolution
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong attention to detail and speed while working within tight deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills
    • Exceptional ability to follow oral and written instructions
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to pivot and reprioritize
    • Outstanding communications skills; both verbal and written
    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education:
    • Experience with UKG/UltiPro HRIS
    • Medium to large company accounting experience
    • Public accounting experience
    Physical Demands:
    • Sitting and typing for an extended period of time
    • Reading from a computer screen for an extended period of time
    • Work environment of a traditional fast-paced and deadline-oriented office
    • Working closely with others
    • Frequent verbal communication, primarily over the phone, and face-to-face interaction
