    The Service Coordinator for Leica Biosystems is responsible for effectively scheduling customer work order requests. This position provides outstanding customer communication and administrative support via phone and e-mail, including the coordination of new product installations in partnership with internal teams and external logistics partners, and via entering spare parts orders timely and accurately. Additionally, this role helps drive time and materials revenue through handling the flow of customer purchase orders, including Purchase Order processing and follow up.

    This position is part of Customer Support – Multifunction located in Deer Park, IL and will be a hybrid position. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Provide administrative support for Field Service Engineers and Regional Field Service Managers via phone and email.
    • Coordinate complex scheduling using for incoming repairs (emergency and non-emergency) and Preventative Maintenance with the Field Service team and customers by monitoring incoming phone and email traffic.
    • Bundle and dispatch incoming work orders to Field Service Engineers to maximize time and efficiencies as well as contacting customers for bundle opportunities of repair and preventative maintenance work orders.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

    • Associates Degree with a minimum 1 year of customer service experience OR equivalent work experience (minimum of 3 years customer service).
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume call center environment.
    • Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
