About the College/Unit/DepartmentThe Georgia College Advising Corps (GCAC) works in underserved high schools throughout Georgia to increase the number of low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students who attend and complete higher education.
We help students find their way to college by placing well-trained, recent college graduates in high schools to work one-on-one with students as they navigate the complex college admissions process, including researching college options, completing applications, and applying for financial aid.

Advisers work regular, full-time hours during the school year, following the high
school/site supervisor's schedule. Advisers will begin service in their assigned
schools in August 2024 following summer training at UGA during the month of July,
and work until May 31, 2025.
