What is a Peer Review?
Peer Review is a written evaluation in which a contracted healthcare professional provides comprehensive reviews of, and objective recommendations on, patient care.
Peer review services are often requested in support of utilization management processes that ensure prudent use of resources and appropriateness of care.
Case review types include worker's compensation, disability, and health plan prior authorizations and appeals.
