    THE OPPORTUNITY:


    Our Manufacturing Engineers play an integral role in developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards, recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, and coordinating the launching of new or revised products.

    Our newly built facility is located in Gorham ME, less than a twenty-minute drive to Portland ME.

    The Gorham area offers easy access to great outdoor activities, safe communities, and quality schooling both K through 12 and Colleges.


    IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

    Create/edit/maintain Engineering documentation such as:

    Geometry specification dataProduct drawingsProcess documentationProject data analysis and reportingHelp in the creation of new products and evaluation of existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas of improvement.

    Develop and draft manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors, and implementing cost saving measures.


    Assist and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives including:
    Cycle time optimizationSetup time reduction (SMED)Reducing machine down timeIncreasing machine efficienciesOther LEAN initiativesEducate, train, and supervise new employees on current manufacturing and workflow processes

    YOU'LL BRING:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering2+ years of manufacturing experienceDemonstrated ability and knowledge of:Process development, documentation, and implementationReducing machine down timeIncreasing machine efficienciesProject managementExperience with Six sigma problem solving tools (i.e. DMAIC) desired.
    Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
    Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
