Diesel Mechanic - Dallas, TX

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25hr - $30hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to join our team at a heavy equipment company located in Dallas, TX as a diesel mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and heavy equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and safe for operation.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine and heavy equipment issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
• Repair or replace defective parts, such as transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Use diagnostic tools, such as computerized diagnostic equipment, to identify issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards at all times.
• Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to ensure equipment is repaired and maintained in a timely manner.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school degree or certification in diesel mechanics strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Must have own tools.
