    Description


    Title: Intermediate-level Project Engineer | Buildings and Structural Engineering

    Client :

    Our client is a provider of multi-discipline engineering, design, and consulting services to public and private sector clients. Headquartered in north-central NJ with offices throughout the US. Our client specializes in providing comprehensive services including civil/site, transportation, infrastructure, governmental, environmental, telecom and utilities. The most advanced technologies are utilized to deliver the ultimate in customized service.

    Job Description:

    This position involves working alongside engineers and architects as part of a design team applying structural engineering principles toward the successful design of low to mid-rise commercial and residential building projects.

    Responsibilities:
    • Provide direction to structural engineers, and support staff
    • Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs
    • Perform field investigations/site visits, as needed
    • Independently apply knowledge of structural principles and practices
    • Prepare engineering calculations with the aid of computer software
    • Coordinate with architects, owners, and other engineering disciplines
    • Design and review complete project documents
    Qualifications:
    • A minimum of 6 + years in civil/structural engineering required
    • PE license strongly desired
    • Proven experience in commercial, technology, educational, and municipal type building projects
    • Possess a basic skill level in Revit desired
    • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices in steel, concrete, and masonry
    • Ability to effectively perform as a key team member and role model
    • Advanced oral/written communication skills
    • Possess a basic understanding of structural engineering software such as RISA, RAM, TEKLA, TEDDS, etc.
    • Must be able to perform as a Project Engineer with limited guidance as well as collaborate with multiple members of the design team
    Education: Bachelors degree in civil structural engineering with a structural emphasis

    Masters degree desired but not required
