    The

    SMR ProjectManager


    will be responsible for the successful alignment of AP300 commodities with design engineering as design for the AP300 plant is finalized.

    This includes supporting design to value and design for manufacturability ensuring the overall procurement feedback is incorporated into the design as applicable and cost beneficial.

    This will entail working closely with the Business Unit, engineering, Delivery Stream and other GSCS teams to develop the overall procurement strategy for AP300 while ensuring alignment with the AP1000 delivery model.

    In execution, the AP300 would function in the same manner as the AP1000 with the WBS structure being implement for the procurement delivery and turnover of equipment that supports various projects within the Energy Systems portfolio.

    This includes managing activities during the pre-PO phase, PO placement phase, PO execution phase, and final delivery and turnover of all equipment to the customer.

    The WBS Manager is ultimately responsible for all phases of the procurement including project management, and achievement of financial and schedule milestones.

    This role will require extensive partnering across WEC to develop a multi-project strategy to deliver on multiple projects in parallel.


    Your Day to Day:

    Cost Leadership:
    Lead in building a sourcing strategy, with the support of the team, considering the Total cost of Ownership (Prices / On time Delivery / Quality, ...)


    Operational Excellence:
    Develop and implement processes, Standard works within the organization


    Cross Functional collaboration:


    Build "the bridge" with the different department (Engineering, SPE, Global Procurement, internal stakeholders (GES, SQ, etc.), suppliers) to develop a strong execution plan in serving our customer on time.


    Innovation & Digitalization:
    Scout the market to identify new technology that create value to the ended customer


    Develop and/or implement the appropriate program management model, complementary to global execution model(s) to profitably enable WECs participation and leadership in the Energy System Portfolio.


    Forecast program performance, including identification of risk areas and development of mitigation strategies as needed to ensure overall program meets safety, quality and financial objectives.

    Serve as trusted business partner to the Delivery Stream project procurement leader for each major customer project.


    Provide strategic direction and execution plans focused on successful delivery and implementation of Energy System products that meets/exceeds incremental profitable growth for WEC.

    Lead and provide oversight to delivery stream teams across all Westinghouse, supplier, and customer sites.

    Guides and leads decision making, strategy development, and implementation for procurement of components and equipment.


    Work with GSCS partners to develop and provide strategic sourcing strategies and execution plans focused on successful delivery and implementation of products that meets/exceeds incremental profitable growth for WEC.

    Oversee training and mentor new hires and/or existing employees working on customer projects for the first time.


    Serves as primary project interface for project management, status, and responsibility for delivery of components and equipment within Westinghouse scope of supply.

    Supports development of Delivery Stream project management staffing forecast.

    Participates in bid opportunities/meetings.

    Once projects are secured, serves as primary project interface for status and responsibility for delivery of components and equipment within Westinghouse scope of supply.


    Coordinate with Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, Operations, and all other related functions with focus on on-time delivery, quality, cost reduction, inventory management & appropriate translation of customer and/or business unit requirements.

    Align with functional stakeholders to incorporate product and manufacturing strategies into contract strategy while gaining leadership support. Examples include design to value and design for manufacturability.

    Proactively manage risks and escalate as appropriate for risk mitigation


    Who You Are:
    BA/BS degree required (Preferably MBA or MS in any field of engineering)

    Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (preferably within industries with large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement)

    Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and draw conclusions from quantitative data

    Strong interpersonal skills:
    ability to communicate and engage at all organizational levels, ability to cultivate and sustain high quality professional relationships

    Ability to work individually or as part of a team environment

    Must be creative and have strong problem-solving skills along with time-management, prioritizing, planning and self-direction skills

    Ability to maintain long term productive relationship with suppliers (SRM)

    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project


    Languages:
    English

    Ability to travel 10-20%
