    Software Engineer

    Our platforms are built in a Linux environment with node, React, Vue, Java, Javascript, Python, C++, Docker, Kubernetes. Our deployment environments include AWS Commercial, AWS GovCloud, and on-premises with US Government customers.

    Position location is hybrid, with on-site presence required at our Broomfield, CO headquarters and occasional support required in Boulder, CO in a classified environment.

    The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on technical expertise with an excellent understanding of technical engineering concepts.

    Responsibilities:


    Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as software architects, program managers, designers, and other engineers to design, develop and test software solution that meet the needs of our customers.

    Analyze user requirements and develop software specifications.
    Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows software development best practices.
    Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers.
    Debug and fix issues.
    Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality.
    Deploy software applications to production environments.
    Maintain and update software applications to ensure they meet user needs and remain secure.
    Develop and maintain documentation.
    Mentor other team members.
    Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology.

    Clearance Requirement:
    This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
    U.S. Citizenship is required.
    Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.

    Required Qualifications and Skills:
    BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field (advanced degree (eg: Masters, PhD) provides two years of experience)

    5+ years professional hands-on software engineering experience using tools and languages in our tech stack - node, React, Vue, Java, Javascript, Python, C++,Docker, Kubernetes.

    Comfortable developing new features and maintaining code for both server-side and UI facets of web applications
    Worked with a JVM based language (Java, Scala, Kotlin) at a professional capacity for at least 1 year
    Experience with Red Hat Linux and Openshift
    Detail oriented
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    U.S. Citizenship
    Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred:
    Solid understanding of software design patterns and data structures
    Experience building backend web services and/or native applications
    Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools and methodologies
    Experience with cloud computing platforms (eg: AWS, Azure)

    Experience with database design (eg:
    Postgres, NoSQL)

    Experience with messaging middleware (eg:
    ZeroMQ, KAFKA)
    Experience with Gitlab
    Experience with Atlassian tools
    Willingness and ability to learn new languages as necessary
    Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher

    Salary Range:


    In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 - $175,000.

    This is not a guarantee of compensation.

    Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
