The Security Operations Center Technical Writer role involves providing technical writing support, standardizing documentation, and offering business assistance across the SOC.

This position requires candidates with experience as a Technical Writer in a SOC environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the State of Iowa's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), specifically the Security Operations Center (SOC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality technical writing services to support the SOC's operations and documentation needs.
• Develop and maintain standardized documentation formats and guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a SOC environment.
• Strong understanding of security operations and IT concepts.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

Estimated Salary Range:

$60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
