Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking an Environmental Electrician who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. The selected teammate will ensure the success of the team by SAFELY performing Preventative and Corrective maintenance on Environmental equipment and systems. During construction, Environmental electricians will help build the mill and create our computerized maintenance management system to ensure proper design criteria and equipment reliability in the Environmental area of the mill.

Job Functions include but are not limited to:

· Propose and implement innovative solutions to electrical challenges within the Environmental Department, ensuring adherence to safety standards, maximizing reliability, optimizing quality, and maintaining cost-effectiveness.

· Perform complex electrical and electronic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on Environmental equipment, including motors, variable frequency drives, PLCs, and other critical systems.

· Demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical schematics specifically related to Environmental equipment including but not limited to Baghouse, Water systems, radiation detection and emission compliance.

· Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of medium and low voltage electrical systems, programmable logic controllers, instrumentation, AC variable frequency drives, motors & control systems within the context of the environmental equipment and processes.

· Train teammates on new electrical equipment, modifications to existing systems, and safety procedures in the maintenance environment.

· Be willing to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, or scheduled & unscheduled overtime to maintain continuous operation of the mill.

· Be willing to work with multiple areas in the mill to maintain plant equipment and operation

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance relative to PLC, motors, drives or equivalent.

• Fundamental Knowledge in Electrical Theory.

• Experience Troubleshooting low to medium voltage motors and Control

• Ability to safely work at heights, in confined spaces, and with hazardous chemicals/wastes.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior Steel Mill experience.

· 2-year or 4-year degree in an electrical field related to industrial instrumentation, automation & control, or electrical engineering technology.
