    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance professional to join our team.


    The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, supervising maintenance staff, performing hands-on repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.


    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    § Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

    § Cover for PTO and vacation on all three shifts for Maintenance Technicians.

    § Common knowledge of PLCs and how they function.

    § Keep equipment running per OEM specs.

    § Conduct regular inspections of facility systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.

    § Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, machinery, and other equipment as needed.

    § Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the ongoing functionality of critical systems and equipment.

    § Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.

    § Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies and parts as needed to support maintenance activities.

    § Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and develop solutions to resolve issues in a timely manner.

    § Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to maintenance activities.

    Take the initiative to learn more about the machines by reading manuals and other materials.


    Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and/or established quality and safety procedures including properly Lock out/ Tag out any applicable equipment.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
    § Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.

    § Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

    § Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, PLCs, and mechanical systems. Mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.

    § Ability to track and report activities on all projects.

    § Experience in planning maintenance operations.

    § Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    § Excellent leadership and project management skills

    § Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members and vendors.

    § Competent in problem solving, team building, and planning.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear.

    Employees may have to push and pull using appropriate carts that are available to them. Additionally, employees may have to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently on a regular basis.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close distance vision, color, and shade differentiation to manage the bakery products on the floor.

    Duties may require occasional travel on behalf of the company.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    This position is part of a 24- hour operation and is subject to work different hours as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

    The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, strong aromas of spices, dusts, powders, or airborne particles, and high temperature variance.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


    Occupational hazards:

    Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as occasionally working on ladders, exposure to cleaning chemicals, working on wet floors, long hours on concrete floors.

    EQUIPMENT,


    MACHINES AND SOFTWARE USED:


    This position requires some computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization, i.e., Microsoft Office products, ERP system, CMM, and Asset Essentials.

    Must be certified and able to use a forklift and scissor lift.
