    Details:
    As the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for developing financial strategies, annual and long-term financial planning, financial reporting, and operations at the High Museum of Art (HMA).

    You will collaborate with the Woodruff Arts Center (WAC) Finance and Accounting team to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.


    WORK SCHEDULE:
    Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with some evenings and weekends as needed.


    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    - Planning & Budgeting:
    - Establish annual budget and planning calendar
    - Lead budget planning meetings and preparation
    - Prepare budget highlights and coordinate with finance committees
    - Work on financial and business models
    - Financial Management
    - Manage accounting functions and financial statements
    - Conduct financial reviews and analyze trends
    - Serve as a liaison to finance committees
    - Risk Management
    - Mitigate risks and maintain control systems
    - Update policies and procedures
    - Staff Financial Literacy
    - Provide financial training to non-financial staff

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    - Recruit, hire, and train finance and accounting staff
    - Oversee department workflow and performance evaluations
    - Direct Reports include HMA Controller and HMA A/P Coordinator

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:
    - Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting
    - CPA certification preferred
    - 10+ years of experience in a complex organization

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    - Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
    - Some standing, walking, and light lifting required
    - Moderate noise level in the work environment
