Metal Recycling Industry Buyer

Buying and Selling of ferrous and non ferrous metals

Responsibilities:

· Develop new and maintain existing customer accounts while targeting potential growth opportunities.

· Source scrap metal materials and negotiate specifications and payment terms.

· Meet or exceed volume and margin goals.

· Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among all departments.

· Oversee and follow all safety rules and procedures.

· Enforce safety regulations; Recommend measures to assist in protecting employees from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.

· Provide positive customer service experience, resolving supplier concerns regarding pricing, quality, transportation & safety

· Update and input weekly sales tracking report.

· Conduct Market Analysis & Communicated Results to Team

Qualifications:

Please review qualifications as you must meet or exceed all of them below to be eligible to apply:

· Minimum 5 years Metals Recycling Industry Buyer Experience

· Proven Success in Customer Development, Contract Negotiation & Industrial or Wholesale Account Management

· Knowledgeable in recycled materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing product profit.

· Excellent people skills, proficiency in MS Office, and ability to work in a team environment.

· Excellent time-management, communication, cold-calling, and negotiation skills.
