    Restaurant General Manager opportunity at Gordon Biersch located in the MacNamara terminal at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport.Gordon Biersch is a German-style beer & a pub menu served in a casual setting.

    We want to hear from you if you have:
    • 5+ years of progressive management experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume setting.
    • Experience working in a unionized environment, with a strong understanding of labor relations and collective bargaining agreements.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members to achieve their full potential.
    • Strong business acumen and financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
    • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, menu development, and regulatory compliance.
    Requirements
    • Obtain and maintain current Serve Safe Food Manager's Certification within six months of hire/promotion.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, climbing on a ladder, and walking long distances.
    • Standing for long periods and the ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures.
    • A Bachelor of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
    • Ability to work full time (the work regularly demands in excess of 40 hours per week) including variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and/ or holidays.The schedule is determined by business needs.
    • Proficiency required in reading and writing, Microsoft Office Suite, and mathematics.
