Job Summary:
The Tasting Room Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for supporting the business objectives.
This position is in support of all operational and logistical aspects of the Ranch and downtown location tasting rooms including supervising the Tasting Room Leads and executing Press Club and public special events.
They ensure that the business goals are met, events go smoothly, consumers have a rich experience, customer loyalty is maintained, and the Pasolivo brand is professionally reflected.
This position plays a vital role in: mentoring the tasting room associates, planning and coordinating event logistics including product transfers, inventory control, overseeing event staff and event set up and breakdown, monitor event inventory, input sales into the POS System, customer service and experiences, meeting/exceeding event sales, and budget goals.
The Tasting Room Manager works as part of the team leading by example, handles multiple work priorities and projects both at special events and in the Tasting Rooms both in the front and back of the house.
This position makes recommendations to the General Manager to enhance the operations of the tasting rooms, event's business success and works closely with the Tasting Room Leads to oversee Ranch and store inventory.
Duties include but are not limited to:
TASTING ROOM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages Tasting Room Leads and Associates to oversee all aspects of the day-to-day tasting room operations, customer service, inventory management, cash reconciliation, shipping orders, Press Club application inputs.
Coaches and develops associates so they deliver exceptional customer service.
Oversees the ordering of training room and housekeeping supplies.
Trouble shoots Point of Sale and iPad issues when required.
Coordinates with the Tasting Room Leads if any tasting room collateral, such as, tracking sheets, shipping forms, Press Club forms are needed.
Works with the Tasting Room Leads to ensure 30-minute lunch breaks are taken when an employee works more than six hours.
Partners with the General Manager in writing and delivering staff performance reviews and notices.
Maintains a consistent level of professionalism in all communications.
Takes the lead as the Wizard of Fun to motivate and retain tasting room associates.
SPECIAL EVENTS ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Partners with the General Manager to execute operations for the special events.
Responsible for all the planning for organizing and hosting the events.
Oversees the events to ensure that guests are having a great time.
Manages the on-site event staff.
Make recommendations to the General Manager to enhance the event's success.
Collaborates with the Press Club Coordinator and Resident Chef on promotional activities.
Communicates with on-site event organizers to ensure requirements are met.
Ensures event is completed smoothly and set up to resolve any problems that might occur.
Analyze the event's success with the General Manager
Collaborates with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure inventory for club and special events.
Assist in the achievement of financial goals for both the tasting room and special events including:
Tasting room and special event club sign up goals.
Tasting room and special event merchandise and product sales
Coaching tasting room and special event team members to up sell products and close club sales.
Assist in inventory management.
Coordinates with the Ranch Tasting Room Lead and Production/Shipping Warehouse to:
Partners with the Tasting Room Leads to ensure anticipated items needed are available for tasting rooms and special events.
Understands where items can be obtained on the property, if needed
Informs and coordinates with the General Manager and Ranch Tasting Room Leads on any extra stock needs for the tasting rooms or requests for large groups.
