    Under the direction of the Beverage Supervisor, the Beverage Cart Server is responsible for providing friendly guest service in an efficient manner and high-volume capacity. The Beverage Cart Server provides complimentary non-alcoholic beverage service to patrons in the slot machine area and throughout the entire gaming floor.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Performs a rotating schedule throughout the designated shift; rotates between specified assigned sections. Designated areas can be inclusive of, but not limited to, machine areas, fill positions as well as breakers. Assigned sections encompass all slot machine areas including the first and second floors.

    2. Provides excellent service to both patrons and team members with a welcoming manner, responsive demeanor, and a smile at all times. Maneuvers the beverage cart through the entirety of the assigned section while hospitably calling out "Beverages, coffee, water". Responds to requests positively, timely and efficiently.

    3. Holds responsibility for supporting the Beverage Utility Clerks in keeping the "filling" stations clean and organized with necessary items for cart service. When assigned to "fill hour", the Beverage Cart Server supports the team by replenishing carts with sufficient amounts of complimentary beverages including soda, juice, coffee, and water served by the Beverage Cart Servers on the casino floor. The server who has the "fill" station for the last hour of the shift must fill and prepare drink carts for the oncoming shift. The number of carts to be prepared will depend on the shift and volume of business.

    4. Responsible for overall cleanliness, organization, and preparedness of immediate workspace and adjacent areas. Ensures a clean, sanitary and thoroughly stocked beverage cart. If beverage cart service is not going to be utilized on the next shift; cart must be thoroughly washed and sanitized with the fill station fully cleaned and stocked.

    5. Learn and understand the fundamentals of the Point of Sale (POS) system. Servers are responsible for keeping a detailed account of all beverages given to patrons throughout the shift. All beverages must be entered into the P.O.S system and closed by a supervisor or manager. Adheres to all cash handling procedures, including tip policies and practices, as established by the department.

    6. Notifies immediate supervisor of any problems that occur, including reporting of any patron who appears to be intoxicated or under the age of 21.

    7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

    Education/Experience/Qualifications

    • High school diploma or general education development (GED) required.
    • Minimum of three (3) months of industry-related experience required.
    • Minimum of one (1) year of industry-related experience preferred.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Must possess excellent customer service and communications skills.
    Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
    • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
    • Must obtain and maintain Food Handler's Card within 90 days of employment.
