Our client is seeking a strategic Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our passionate toy team.The Senior Product Marketing Manager will be instrumental in driving the success of our toy products through effective marketing strategies and product roadmapping, with a specialized focus on managing licensed brands.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the toy industry, consumer behavior, analytics, and market trends to develop strategic line plans and provide valuable insights for product development.
This role is 4 days in office in Irvine, CA - WFH Friday's.Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies to drive demand, and sales of our toy products in conjunction with the Sr.
Work with the Marketing Director to establish overall brand strategies, line plans and marketing initiatives.
Analyze and provide category, consumer, competitor, retailer and product-specific insights, trends and market research in support of brand strategies.
Track and analyze sales performance of product lines to identify growth
Assist with the creation of retail-specific programs and exclusives, tailoring product lines and marketing strategies to maximize business across channels (Mass, Online, Club, Value, Department Store)
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with licensors, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and maximizing the value of licensed partnerships.
Develop clear and compelling product messaging and positioning for toy products that align with brand guidelines and resonate with our target audience.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product development, product design, graphics/package design, digital marketing, social media, sales) to bring new toy products to market.Lead the creation and execution of product launch plans for toy products, coordinating marketing activities across various channels such as in-store merchandising, digital, and
Support retail sales team to maximize sell in and sell-through during entire product life cycle by providing all necessary information and materials, inclusive of product samples, presentation decks, digital photography and video assets, and required retailer-specific information.
Must have strong presentation skills and be comfortable presenting both internally and externally.Candidate Qualifications:
BS/MS degree in marketing or related field
Minimum 6 years experience in product marketing, preferably in the toy industry or related consumer goods sector, with a focus on managing licensed brands.
Demonstrated strategic planning skillsPrior leadership experience in marketing/brand management including managing large product portfolio
Proven analytical skills
Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills
Entrepreneurial mindset & self-starter
Demonstrated strong facilitation skills and ability to identify common ground amongst individuals with divergent opinions and perspectives
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated positive attitude, sees challenges as opportunities and translates them into actionable items.
Excellent analytical and project management skills. Must be able to analyze business data, determine solutions, make sound recommendations and carry out actions in effective manner
Highly creative with ability to think out of box
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook is required.
