    Position:

    Valve Assembly TechnicianPurpose:
    Meet customer needs through the safe and efficient assembly of electrical control panels, valve automation components, and other related hardware

    Success Factors:
    Safely and efficiently produce products meeting expectations for quality.
    Maintain the physical shop environment to ensure safety, organization, and efficiency.
    Successfully perform assigned tasks in various roles, including electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, and warehouse.

    Effectively support facilities-related matters to assure proper operation of systems and maintain integrity of the facility and grounds, as assigned.


    Responsibilities:


    Performance of complex mechanical assembly working from engineering drawingsConsistent, safe use of shop tools, including hand tools, fork truck, hoist, pneumatic tools, etc.

    Electrical assembly working from schematics, wiring diagrams, and verbal instructionUse of dimensional measurement / layout techniques in support of electrical panel layoutWorking in a professional manner across all levels of the organizationMaintaining shop area in a safe, clean, orderly, and efficient conditionAssisting with facility, warehouse, and maintenance projects as requestedAssisting in the training of other employees as requestedMay assist with field service work at offsite locationsAssists with facility, warehouse, and maintenance projects as requested.


    Skills/Qualifications:
    High School diploma or GED required.

    One year of experience in an electrical and/or mechanical assembly role preferredConsistently puts safety first in the shop environmentAble to operate standard shop equipment, including forklifts, hoists, pneumatic tools, etc.

    Competent in the use of personal computers, email communications, and navigating between various windows and programsAbility to read, write, and speak English fluentlyAble to stand, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, lift, and walk for extended periods of timeAble to lift / manipulate products up to 75 poundsWorking Conditions:
    This position is typically performed in a shop environment with minimal exposure to adverse weather conditions.

    On occasion, Assembly Technicians may be requested to perform duties at customer locations, where exposure to outdoor weather is likely.

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required in shop or field locations to mitigate risk to personal safety. Applied Control Equipment promotes a smoke-free environment.


    Compensation:

    Hourly Wage:
    $ $35.00 per hour. Most candidates with less than 3 years of experience will be hired at a rate between $ per hour.

    Prior work or industry experience, job-related education, and unique skills will be taken into consideration when setting the wage rate.


    Other:
    Eligible for additional compensation including an annual profit share award.
