Position Summary
The Digital Press Operator is responsible for printing College material using the Copy Center's digital copiers, replacing consumable supplies and ensuring adequate supply inventory for those devices, and providing support to the bindery by performing basic tasks such as laminating, shrink wrapping, cutting, and book binding. In addition, the Digital Press Operator must provide excellent customer service to Copy Center customers and quality control on jobs to ensure that they are correct prior to customer pickup or delivery.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Print incoming black-and-white jobs on high-speed digital copiers. Replace consumables (paper, toner, etc.) as needed.
Provide support to the bindery by performing basic work, including laminating, shrink-wrapping, cutting, and bookbinding.
Provide backup support for incoming color print work when needed.
Assist walk-in customers with copy requests.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED
Minimum of one year of experience in a copy center, print shop, or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with bindery equipment and processes, including spiral binding, comb binding, and wire binding, shrink wrapping, laminating, and cutting
Knowledge of Fiery image processors.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
In the best interest of the College, only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the College: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility.
