Job summary
The Sr Regional IT Field Support Engineer is responsible for delivering hands-on and remote technical support to BJ's Wholesale Club locations within an assigned territory. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of in-store technology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for hardware and software support issues within assigned clubs and fuel stations. ,
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues involving POS terminals, scanners, printers, payment processing devices ,fuel station terminals controllers related systems member-facing kiosks self-checkout units store fuel stations network connectivity wired wireless inventory management back-office applications ,
- Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or vendors as needed while maintaining ownership until resolution assist installation configuration new systems hardware refreshes software upgrades in clubs fuel stations provide on-site support new club fuel scheduled opening territory provide on-site support club remodel initiatives require reconfigurations movement technology movement installation low voltage wiring addition removal EUC etc. perform routine preventive maintenance minimize downtime extend life equipment ensure adherence security policies PCI compliance standards audit inventory tracking accurate record-keeping partner Club Fuel Management Corporate IT teams identify technology needs recommend solutions document all activities configurations incidents requests changes problem resolutions ServiceNow ticketing system train associates proper use hardware applications required
