    Insight Global is looking for a Network Technician in the San Antonio, TX area. This person will be overseeing the client's telecommunications projects.

    Day to day they will review the installation, configuration, upgrade, maintenance, and evaluation of telecommunication systems across 400 buildings in San Antonio.

    They will help monitor installed equipment and assists in the deployment of new telecommunications components and cabling to include Fiber Optics.

    They will also assist in the recovery of all telecommunication systems and services.

    This person must have experience reading blueprints and understanding what the contractors need to be doing in order to completing the assignments.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Ability to pass CJIS background check (Criminal Justice Information Systems)no felonies or misdemeanors
    -5+ years of experience as a working in telecommunications/network/cabling specifically working on multiple projects and advising customers on what needs to be completed

    • Experience reading blueprints, estimating projects, putting quotes together, working with vendors, submitting estimates for Pos, etc.
    • Knowledge of fiber and copper color codes
    • Understanding of CAT5 or CAT6 and EIA/TIA standards
    • Basic understanding of BICSI standards
    • Experience with Office 365
    • Project Management experience

    • Associates Degree
