    Job DescriptionSalary: Negotiations start at $90/hr
    Weekly Pay w/Benefit options
    Shifts Available:
    • 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    Location: Denton, TX
    *3-Month Minimum Contract Assignment with option to extend

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    Responsible for the effective delivery of high-quality medical services to individuals with intellectual disabilities served
    • Work involves direct delivery of clinical practices and monitoring of medical services, participating in treatment team process, advocate for the medical needs of persons service, and working with the individual's families, Family Nurse Practitioners, and with consultants and community medical providers in other medical specialty areas.
    • This position works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment and reports directly to the Administrative Medical Director
    • Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
    • Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic disease and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes.
    • Prescribe and administering medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
    • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
    • Provides and monitors Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for compliance with accrediting agencies; specifically, Medicaid Medicare guidelines, CMS Standards, Rules and Directives.
    LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
    • Graduate from an accredited college of medicine with a degree as a medical doctor.
    • Has completed either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Residency
    • Must be licensed as a medical doctor by the State of Texas with no sanctions.
    • Must have current registration certificates from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Texas Department of Public Safety Controlled Substance Board
    • Must possess a National Provider Identified (NPI#) as defined by Medicare Part B
    • CPR certifications
    • All certifications must be current
