Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a Dental office who will soon be a fully operational office providing services for their community. The first 4-6 week will be in preparation for the official launch of services. The Dental Hygienist must have previous experience within a medical office to initiate the daily functions of a full, properly running office. This candidate must have a valid Dental Hygiene License in the State of Michigan.

Dental Hygienist Role Requirements

Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque, and applying fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care.
Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review and oral health evaluations.
Take and develop dental x-rays and other diagnostic imaging as needed.
Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Developing education strategies, handouts and communications that represents the community center.
Represent the Community Center when interacting with public health professionals when recruiting volunteers in the Grand Rapids area. Acting as the liaison between the dental staff, dental volunteers and the wider dental and medical community may be required.

Dental Hygienist Qualifications

Valid dental hygiene license in Michigan
Proficiency in computer knowledge for patient record management
Knowledge of medical documentation practices and terminology
Understanding of anatomy and oral health conditions
Ability to perform patient assessments and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
Experience with medical imaging techniques, such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
Strong knowledge of infection control procedures in a dental setting
Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health care.
3+ years' experience in the dental office setting
Prior experience with adult and pediatric oral health procedures
Familiarity with local dental resources
Bilingual in Spanish (or other locally prominent foreign language) helpful
