    Job Description

    Seeking APQP/PPAP professional that would be based out of Ft. Worth, TX and report into Customer Supplier Quality group. Desired candidate will support internal PPAP activities and deploy APQP/PPAP methodology at select machine shop suppliers within wider area. Candidate should be open to traveling to various suppliers (approx. 30%, as needed). Candidate will coordinate and monitor APQP tasks, quality issues, and supplier performance activities on behalf of the Customer. Candidate will identify, implement, and care for quality concepts (QFD, FMEA, Control Plans, P-Diagram, PFDs, etc). As issues surface throughout the supply chain, candidate will identify, implement, and follow up on RCCA and recovery plans in accordance with Customer requirements. Candidate will lock step with Customer quality and supply chain team and transfer information to stakeholders

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 Years (more preferable) performing APQP/PPAP core tools and PPAP deliverables (PPAP, FAI, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PFD)
    • Hands on machine shop experience, manufacturing environment
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Knowledge of QMS standards such as AS9100, ISO
    • Experience with structured problem solving (Fish Bone, 8D, etc)
    • Ability to interpret blue prints, drawings, contracts in accordance with customer requirements
    • Experience with Quality Engineering methodology
    • Self-starter with a desire for problem solving and process improvement
    • Proven experience of driving root cause with Suppliers
    • Proven background in Quality Assurance and thorough understanding of Quality tools and techniques
    • Experience in using problem solving techniques and applying continuous improvement techniques.
    • Good technical engineering knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings
    • Attention to detail and methodical approach
    • Professional conduct and good communication skills to influence both internally and externally

    Key responsibilities:

    • Drive supplier quality performance in accordance with company procedures, control plans, relevant standards (i.e. AS9100, AS9145, AS9102)
    • Ensure accurate flow down of quality and delivery performance requirements to participating suppliers
    • Ensure suppliers are meeting APQP/PPAP deliverables, agreed milestones, action plans, and process improvements
    • Prioritize supplier non-conformance management and RCCA
    • Report upon supplier progress via MS Office and CORE tools to leadership on a regular basis
