    We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and taxes while providing excellent customer service to employees.

    Requirements

    Responsibilities
    • Process payroll for employees on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
    • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and garnishments
    • Set up new state and local taxes with municipalities
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations
    • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports
    • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
    • Assist with year-end payroll tasks, such as audits, reports, regulated pay updates, 1095/ACA filing, W-2 processing and distribution
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and provide excellent customer service, including employment verifications
    • Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate employee data
    • Assist with ongoing reporting and analysis
    • Assist with the onboarding and off boarding of personnel
    • Stay current on payroll-related legislation and best practices
    • Assist with HR and payroll-related reports, audits and special projects as needed
    • Become proficient in the company's HRIS system to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the system

    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing with at least 1000 employee preferred
    • Mutli state payroll processing
    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
    • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, v-look up, formulas)
    • Experience with payroll software, such as Paylocity, ADP or Paychex
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
