Job summary

Performs full-time work involving operating and driving heavy complex equipment Repairs maintains or clears roads fields and rights-of-way
Employees in this position are relied upon to perform difficult and highly technical operations with the heavy equipment they operate Serves as lead worker for less experienced workers
Able to demolish concrete and asphalt with available equipment as directed Makes repairs using available materials as assigned Work may involve excavation backfill tying rebar setting forms setting grades pouring and finishing concrete placing hot or cold mix asphalt and other related duties as directed Able to fill portable propane tanks from propane filling station Operates mower tractors and other right-of-way maintenance equipment in order to mow edge grass trim trees shrubbery Removes old pipe excavates for new pipes using backhoe skid steer loader transports pipe equipment job site sets new pipe place levels ensures correct elevations of pipe using transit Occasionally locates backfill material loads hauls it job site various equipment Backfills excavations removes excess backfill material Clears plugged culverts storm drains using jet rodder other equiptment Drives operates complex construction maintenance equipement such motor graders bulldozers front-end loaders dump trucks etc In order transport material perform maintanence repair activities Constructs roads bridges cattleguards culverts guardrails flat structural concrete Using equipement materials assigned direct Maintains or repaires roads including snow removal grades hauls mixes dirt debris materials Assists traffic control road construction sites directing traffic assisting other equip operators maneuvering equip Performs routine maintance on equip such checking oil fluid levels checking tire pressure checking belts May be assigned certian piece specialized equiptment annual service maintance plans requiering special knowledge area logistical needs residents area Employee subject Emergency call out minute response time emergency conditions county roads Oral written communications must clear effective Performs other related duties assign.
