Description

An ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in most of the following areas:
Next Generation Firewalls (FortiGate).
Hands-on experience in maintaining network components ( Firewalls, Switches, Wifi AP, VPN, SD-WAN ) including upgrades and downgrades.

Proficiency in various protocols:
TCP/IP, SNMP, 802.1Q, STP, SSLVPN .
Familiarity with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP .
Ability to read, comprehend, and create technical documentation for delivered solutions.
Hands-on experience in automation tasks (any language).

Education required:
B.Sc. or comparable education in Information Technology or Information Security.

As a member of the IT Infrastructure Support Team at Eurofins Environment Testing Europe, you will join a growing international crew, working on the maintenance of recently deployed segregated IT User Zones and Application Availability Groups.

Your role will involve supporting daily operational tasks, including designing and implementing new infrastructure or migrating existing network components in line with current standards.

You will collaborate with various IT Support and Delivery Teams on a daily basis, which will require networking and network security skills.

An open mind and the ability to cooperate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds are essential.

Your main responsibilities as a Network Engineer are to support and maintain current IT User Zones and IT Application Availability Groups network infrastructure.

Design, plan, and implement network IT Infrastructure for transformation, integration, and segregation throughout Environment Testing businesses across Europe.

These projects will aim to perform installations, configuration, and migrations of enterprise-level network IT infrastructure systems from legacy to new solutions.

Propose and deliver solutions that best meet the business needs in terms of security, cost, and bandwidth. Work closely with Server, Cloud, Application team members to deliver the IT Infrastructure as a wider project. Act based on the end-to-end view of the infrastructure. Document the solutions delivered.
