Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.

Augusta School District is seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to our students, utilizing a workload model to ensure balanced and effective support.

Responsibilities:

Direct Services: Provide 15-20 hours of direct occupational therapy services per week.
Evaluations and Assessments: Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and eligibility for OT services.
Data Collection: Gather and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports documenting student progress, evaluations, and individualized therapy plans.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention plans.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding occupational therapy services in schools.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Georgia.
Experience working in a school setting preferred.
Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
