Description

Pruitt Tool & Supply, Co. is currently seeking candidates for a part time System Programmer at our corporate offices in Fort Smith, AR.

We are an API Q1 Quality Management Certified company and we manufacture/refurbish specialized drilling equipment used in the oil and gas industry.

We are seeking candidates to work as part of the Information Technology Team providing tasks such as programming, web development, working with end users, etc.

Incumbent will work closely with a small team of Engineers and Developers to contribute to new and existing systems. This support will require building front end applications, building and supporting back end systems and data bases.

Other tasks will include participation in code reviews; troubleshooting and debugging basic software issues, and assisting end user in determining what solutions will best fit their needs.

Web development will require the use of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc. Programming languages will include .Net C#, C++, Python, etc. Database tasks will include MSSQL, SQLite, MySQL, etc.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 6 months experience working with technology and 3 months experience in at least one programming language (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.).

Candidate selected must be able to understand basic software development and coding principles and must display an eagerness to learn technology and framework.

Preferred candidates will have experience with Version Control Systems such as Git and/or previous experience programming and working with databases.

Preferred candidates will also have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or another computer related field.

Candidate selected must pass a drug test as a condition of employment.
