    Site Requirements:
    On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area
    Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually
    Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week
    Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received

    • Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data- oriented programming languages (Python, R) and visualization software such as Tableau, Teamcenter Reporting and Analysis (TcRA), Cognos and Informatica.
    • Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets
    Visualize, interpret, and report data findings.


    • Analyzes problems and determines root causes.
    • Other duties as assigned or required

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Required:

    • Experience with one or more programming languages (C, C++, Java, JavaScript, R, Python)
    • Experience querying databases
    • Experience with developing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) Processes
    • Experience with analyzing data for trends and patterns
    • Experience with problem-solving in a product development environment

    Experience with any of the following tools:

    • AWS Big Data and native tools
    • Matlab, Simulink
    • Microservices
    • IBM DB2, Oracle, Netezza
    • Unix, Red Hat
    • AWS Solutions Architect
    • DevOps Continuous Delivery Architecture, DevOps Foundations
    • Model-Based Systems Engineering
    • Openshift Container Platform 3.7
    • Three (3) or more years of experience performing work related to the Job Duties/Responsibilities

    Desired:

    • Experience with devising and utilizing algorithms and models to mine big-data stores.
    • Experience performing data and error analysis to improve models.
    • Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
    • Experience with visualizing/presenting data using software such as (Tableau, TcRA, QlikSense, PowerBI, Amazon Quick Sight).
    • Demonstrated knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, and others

    Security Clearance:
    Active Secret clearance required
    Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc

    Education:
    BS or BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management or Relevant Technical Discipline
    Preferred
    Additional years of experience may replace degree requirements
