    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Windows Platform Engineer is responsible for administering the organizations Windows and Microsoft 365 environments. The Windows Platform Engineer will also be responsible for user identity management tasks and keeping identities current in various business applications. The person selected for this role will be heavily involved in the design, implementation, stable operation and management of Qdobas Windows-based server and desktop infrastructure, ensuring high levels of availability, performance, and security.

    KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Windows / M365 Management

    • Install, configure, and update Windows operating systems, applications, and related components to ensure optimal performance and security.
    • Create Windows images for deployment through Intune and MECM.
    • Deploy security patches, updates, and service packs to all Windows systems, ensuring compliance with IT policies.
    • Harden systems against unauthorized access and security breaches. Implement security policies in line with company and industry best practices.
    • Deploy and configure MS365 applications including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other associated applications.
    • Provide tier 2/3 support, identifying and resolving technical issues for server and desktop systems.
    • Implement and oversee backup solutions; regularly test disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for configuration, procedures, and best practices.
    • Monitor system health, ensuring high availability and pinpointing areas of improvement.
    • Collaborate with network administrators to ensure smooth integration and functioning of networked Windows systems.
    • Work in partnership with Restaurant Technology personnel to streamline deployments, minimize system errors and maximize restaurant system uptime.

    User Identity Management

    • Administer and maintain the Identity Management platform to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
    • Oversee the creation, modification, and removal of user identities in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Design, configure, and maintain role-based access controls (RBAC).
    • Implement and support SSO and MFA integrations for various applications.
    • Manage integrations with Active Directory and Microsoft Azure AD

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience working with Windows platforms.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and related technologies.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Intune and MECM
    • Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
    • Certifications in Microsoft technologies like MCSE or equivalent are a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of Identity Management and SSO practices.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

    • Excellent oral and written English communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.
    • Proficiency in Windows Server and related technologies.
    • Proficiency in User Identity Management platforms. Okta and BetterCloud are a plus.
    • Knowledge of AutoMox, SentinelOne, Zscaler and CyberArk a benefit.
