    New Full Time School Psychologist Needed | Orange, New Jersey|

    About the Position:

    ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at a School District in Orange, New Jersey. School Psychologists play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. Theyprovide a range of services, including:

    • Assessment and evaluation:Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
    • Intervention and consultation:Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), providing behavioral and academic interventions, and consulting with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
    • Crisis intervention and prevention:Providing crisis intervention support to students and staff, and developing and implementing crisis prevention plans.
    • Data-driven decision-making:Collecting and analyzing data to inform decision-making about student programming and school-wide initiatives.

    Job Description:

    • Full time
    • 35 hours per week
    • Tentative Work hours: 8:15AM-3:05PM or 3:30PM
    • Start date: ASAP
    • End date: June 26, 2024

    • Required responsibilities:
      • Counseling
      • Evaluations
    • Autism experience preferred
    • Must have strong school-based experience
    • Must have active license/certifications in NJ
    • Requirements for this client:
      • Fingerprints for the State of NJ & Sunbelt
      • TB Test
      • Physical
      • Disclosing this upfront will help

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in school psychology from a NASP-approved program
    • State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
    • Experience working in a school setting with diverse student populations
    • Strong knowledge of child development, mental health, and learning disabilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
