Join Amber Hospice Care as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse

Amber Hospice Care is seeking a qualified Nurse to provide nursing care to terminally ill Hospice patients. Previous experience in Home Hospice is a MUST.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of a state-approved school of practical (vocational) nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) of practice.
Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience, preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures.
Implement nursing care plans for each patient.
Provide nursing services, treatments, and procedures as assigned.
Observe signs, symptoms, and report reactions to the physician and RN.
Teach and counsel patients and families on nursing care needs.
Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing service with the registered nurse.
Maintain accurate records of observations and care.
Participate in medical record audits.
Attend scheduled meetings and conferences.
Take on-call duty as assigned.
Submit schedule changes daily and participate in conferences.
Prepare clinical and progress notes.
Assist in performing specialized procedures.
Prepare equipment and materials for treatments.
Observe aseptic techniques as required.
Assist patients in learning self-care techniques.
