    Specifics:
    Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Occupational Therapy related field and at least two (2) years' experience working as an OT in educational settings. Under the direction of the Student Support Services Director, the Certified Occupational Therapist provides direct and consultative occupational therapy services to designated students according to goals contained in an individualized education plan (IEP). The OT will provide assessment, consultation, and direct occupational therapy to students enrolled in or referred to special education programs. Additionally the OT will collaborate with general and special education staff and parents to identify strategies, methods and patterns of instructional support while also participating as a member of the educational team, develop assessment reports, identify student abilities, create and implement student IEP goals and individual occupational therapy intervention plans. The OT will also maintain appropriate documentation and reports, provide staff development training to educational personnel. In all roles listed above, the OT will supervise, guide, and mentor Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA's) and other support staff while serving on administrative teams and committee's as necessary.
